A Brief History of the Electric Guitar

The electric guitar was first invented and patented by George Beauchamp back in in 1931 for a guitar he made with Adolph Rickenbacker. A lot of other guitar makers were working on the electric versions of the guitars around the same time, one of which is the legendary electric guitar makers Les Paul who pioneered the solid body guitar between 1941-52 with Gibson Guitars wich principle design hasn't changed over the years.
